Seven years ago, after decades of guiding friends and clients, a guest who thoroughly enjoyed one of his trips encouraged him to start his own business. That’s when Reelaxin Charters was born. Today, Captain Doug continues to share his passion by helping people discover the joy of fishing, especially children catching their very first fish. His approachable nature and love for teaching make every outing both personal and memorable.

As a seasoned Gulf Breeze fishing guide, Captain Doug combines local knowledge with a focus on safety and fun. He holds the certifications and experience needed to deliver family-friendly charters that are both exciting and secure. From targeting Redfish and Speckled Trout inshore to chasing Spanish Mackerel, King Mackerel, and Sharks, his trips cover the best fishing Gulf Breeze has to offer. The 16’ John Boat (2015) with a 25HP Mercury engine is perfect for solo anglers and shallow flats fishing, cruising comfortably at 20–25 mph. The 25’ Sea Cat (1996), powered by twin 225HP Mercury engines, carries up to 6 guests and is fully equipped with a live well, GPS, and fishfinder for productive inshore and nearshore trips. For larger groups and special events, the 50’ Bayliner (2000) powered by twin Caterpillar turbo diesels is ideal, with spacious decks, a flybridge, salon, galley, and bathroom, accommodating up to 18 guests in comfort.
